Secondary Companies
At the beginning of 2005, RST separated its main occupation from supplementary activities in order to reach a high standard of efficiency by establishing three secondary companies: UAB Rytra, UAB Elektros tinklo paslaugos and UAB Tetas.
RST holds 100 percent of the stock of the secondary companies. These companies provide services to both the founding enterprise and other market participants.
UAB Elektros tinklo paslaugos
(eng. Electricity Network Services)
Provides technical supervision, handling and maintenance services for the electricity network and equipment, as well as internal installation work. The company has regional service centres in Vilnius, Panevėžys, Alytus and Utena.
UAB Rytra
A transport rental services company which rents out construction and special purpose equipment, as well as cargo and passenger vehicles. Rytra houses a large selection of construction and transport machinery throughout eastern Lithuania.
UAB Tetas Provides specialised electrical grid services to owners of electrical equipment in the regions of Vilnius, Panevėžys, Alytus and Utena. These include:
- Technical supervision of operation and repair of electricity distribution and substation equipment (up to 110 kV);
- Technical supervision of 10/0.4 kV distribution points, transformer operation and repair;
- Elektricity distribution and substation equipment testing;
- Operation of electrical network relay safety, automation and specialised electrical equipment;
- Eletrical installation (up to 1,000 V) power supply operations, testing and measurement;
- Transformer lubrication testing and chromatographic analysis;
- Safety measure testing (only in Panevėžys).
